Family Session Planner Freebie

Styling your family’s session can be so frustrating. I both love and dread trying to decide what to make my family wear for our annual family pictures. I’ve been doing pictures for a long time, and I’ve figured out a few things that help to make it easier and beautiful.

To help you out, here’s a sample of the style guide I send out to my clients to help them figure out the ever challenging question of “What should we wear?!”

Emily & Landon – Engagements

Landon and Emily met while going to university in Logan, Utah. They both worked at the front desk of hotels owned by the same people. During the summer Landon decided to get extra hours by doing maintenance work at the property Emily worked at. One night she needed help and called whoever was on-call. She remembers an attractive man walking into the lobby and was surprised when he grabbed a set of keys from behind the front desk. After he finished his work order he stuck around and talked with Emily. After that night Landon would come spend the evenings he was on-call with Emily at the hotel. After several months of dating Emily felt like she needed to move back to St George and broke up with Landon. They reconnected the next summer and began dating once again. They say that it was like no time had passed at all! Landon proposed to Emily on a wintery night outside the Logan Temple.

I have never met two people who are more suited for each other. They have the same sense of humor (ask them what they gave each other for their Christmas gifts while they were dating… if that wasn’t a sign of soul mates I don’t know what is!) They love to be together and rely on each other.

When we came up with a vintage concept for some engagement photos I was thrilled! Emily had this beautiful mink fur coat that was her Great Grandmother’s.  Her wedding had this same vintage theme. Teacups, old books, lace, flowers, it was beautiful! We had fun and were lucky there were some spring blossoms starting to peek out. Love you guys!

Another Beautiful Bride

WOW! I had so much fun with A! She is so gorgeous and is one of those lucky people who can pull off a serious face. She was so beautiful in her dress and the groom had a hard time keeping his eyes off her! They both have such fun personalities, it was fun to see them interacting with each other. Again – I had a hard time narrowing them down! Here are some of my favorites!

Made For Each Other

Oh My! What a fun time we had doing these engagement pictures! I love hanging out with Danny and Anna! They are so fun and I am so happy for them! Aren’t they the perfect match? I love how tiny Anna looks in Danny’s arms! They are so happy together and make such a cute couple! I can’t wait to show you her BRIDALS ~ until then – here’s a  peek into their engagement session!

Perfect Together

Meet Rachel and Josh. Aren’t they so cute together? It was so much fun to spend an evening together with them! The locations were not only beautiful, but had special meaning to them. On their 100th date, they went to the St. George Social Hall and threw 100 pennies into the fountain. How cute is that? It’s quite easy to see how in love they are! Congratulations you guys! I had a hard time narrowing the pictures down!

Colt & Kira

How cute are these two together?! Okay – so I’m a little biased, but they were great and up for anything – even when I told them to stand in the middle of a river in January!  They are very much in love and I am so happy for them! We had so many great pictures it was hard to narrow them down. I LOVE how the sunset picture turned out – one of my absolute favorites!

{How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You}

Look how in love these two are! It was so much fun to get to know them better and take some amazing engagement pictures! They were up for anything – from laying on the ground to climbing up trees! They were so cute with each other and so happy! Best of luck!
